Beautiful Messes: August
September 02, 2013 • Leave a Comment
Last month I unveiled a new documentary-style photography project that my good friend and fellow lifestyle photographer Stephanie and I were working on. (If you missed it, you can read the original post HERE.) Our goal with this project was mainly to document our kids' youth in a creative new way: not through their posed smiles, but through the daily evidence they leave behind.
Since then, a month has already flown by - and with it, a month's worth of spills, crumbs, grass stains, milk-mustaches, fingerprints, mud, missing puzzle pieces, paper airplanes, blanket forts, dirty clothes, sippy cups, sandwich crusts, mismatched marker caps, band-aid wrappers, stuffed animals, matchbox cars, broken crayons, lego pieces, and left-out toy piles.
Or as we like to call them, Beautiful Messes.
Here's a combined sampling of what we captured over the past month. We hope you enjoy them, and we'll be back again with more next month!
